We are often in need of trackers as they provide a valuable service to the youth in our program. Trackers provide friendship, tracking services, and transportation to foster/proctor youth. Due to the fact that the youth in our program are spread out geographically, and the number of youth in our program is constantly changing, we only are offering part-time employment. A tracker will normally work 5-10 hours per-week. However, the number of hours we can offer will go up or down depending upon the need.

Trackers organize positive constructive activities with youth, promote and educate in positive communication, establishing positive relationships, and living healthy lifestyles. Trackers are expected to be reliable and self motivated and have strong organizational and communication skills.

Working as a tracker for Orion Youth Services is the perfect job for students, or someone who already works but needs a little extra income. And the best part is, trackers, for the most part, can create their own schedule. This of course would need to work with the school schedule of the youth. Often a tracker will be asked to provide respite for the foster parents or assist during trainings, transportation or other company events. There may arise situations in which a tracker's assistance will be requested in emergency or crisis situations.

What's required? Trackers must be at least 21, live in the area where they work, and provide their own transportation. Orion Youth Services does reimburse any mileage performed when providing long distance transportation. Trackers, including any employee who works directly with youth will need to pass a criminal background screening. Trackers must be CPR & First Aid certified, and must have documentation of at least 25 hours of training related to children or youth prior to being hired. This may be training completed through school, other employment, or any other reputable youth services program. If an applicant does not have the required training, Orion Youth Services will provide the opportunity for the applicant to complete the required training for free.

We pay our trackere $10/hour. Because youth are constantly entering and leaving our program, the number of hours we can we can provide each month will vary.
